Our Faith

The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, and that it is infallible. (2 Peter 1:20-21)
God
We believe in there is one God eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. (2 Corinthians 13:13)
Jesus, the Son of God
We believe that the birth of Jesus was a miraculous event, that He died for our sins and that by His death He has reconciled us to God. We believe that He rose from the dead physically, ascended into heaven, and that He is coming back for His Church. (Hebrews 1:1-3)
Salvation by faith in Jesus Christ
We believe that man is born a sinner and needs be saved in order to receive eternal life. Salvation comes through Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and through His sacrifice on the cross. Every man must repent of his sins in order to be born again and receive God’s forgiveness, as Jesus stated. (John 3:3: Romans 3:23)
Water baptism
We believe, as Jesus taught, that all those who acknowledge Christ as their Saviour and Lord should be baptised by immersion. Baptism follows the repentance of sins and being born again. (Romans 6:3-4; Mark 16:16)
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe in the present day reality of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the manifestation of spiritual gifts, including speaking in tongues. (Acts 2:4)
The Church
We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is made up of every person in the world who is born again and acknowledges Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord, and that each Christian should belong to a local church, founded on Biblical principles. (Ephesians 4:11-16)
The fruits of the Spirit
We believe that every born again Christian should be progressively transformed and should manifest the fruits of the Spirit in his or her life: love, joy, peace, etc. (Galatians 5:22)
The gifts of the Spirit
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the edification of Christians. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11)
Healing
We believe that God heals the sick today and performs miracles for His people. (Mark 16:17-18; James 5:14-15)
The resurrection of the dead
We believe in the resurrection of the dead. All men will be resurrected one day and born again Christians will live with Jesus Christ eternally. (1 Corinthians 15:12-14)
Grace
We believe that it is by grace that we are saved, and that it is also by grace that God calls and equips us to live our Christian life, rather than by keeping rules, rituals and laws. (1 Corinthians 15:10; Titus 2:11-13; John 1:7; Romans 7:6)
